NCDFI Industry Achiever Awards: Call for Nominations
Nominations are now open through March 27 for the Annual Native CDFI Industry Achiever Awards — a special opportunity to celebrate the dedication, talent, and impact of those strengthening Native communities through their work.
These awards honor outstanding Native CDFI professionals whose leadership, commitment, and passion elevate their organizations and advance service to their communities.
2025 awardees pictured with Oweesta’s CEO, L to R: George Moody (Nimiipuu Community Development Fund), Ann Whittemore (Tamalpais Trust), Chrystel Cornelius (Oweesta Corporation), Julie Nolen (Cook Inlet Lending Center), and Frances Hosten (CDFI of the Tohono O’odham Nation).
Recipients will be recognized at the Native CDFI Capital Access Convening, June 2–4 in Bangor, Maine, where we gather to uplift shared progress and collective achievement across the industry.
We invite you to nominate someone whose work inspires you — whether a colleague, partner, or team member whose contributions deserve recognition. Two awardees will be celebrated before the Native CDFI community at the Native CDFI Awards Gala on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Each recipient and their nominator will be invited to share their story and highlight their accomplishments during the event.
Join us in honoring those whose dedication and excellence make this work possible and continue to move Native CDFIs forward. Please note: They must attend the Capital Access Convening in order to be eligible for an award.
To submit your nomination, please email a nomination letter/email (with name and contact information for the nominee) to Heather Rademacher Taylor at heather@oweesta.org.

About CAC
Held each year, the Capital Access Convening (CAC) provides an important opportunity for practitioners, investors, and funders to focus on the impact Native CDFIs are making in their communities, take advantage of practitioner-focused trainings on expanding investment opportunities, housing sector lending, green financing initiatives, and much more, and also celebrate one another.
Over the years, the annual Native CDFI Capital Access Convening is the premier event for the Native CDFI movement. This multi-day event includes intensive training for Native CDFIs, a closed-door session for funders and investors, and networking opportunities. Together, we build on our collective voice to advance economic justice across Indian Country.
Sponsor the NCDFI Capital Access Convening
As our largest national gathering, the Capital Access Convening consistently offers inspiring plenaries, various training sessions, and valuable networking opportunities. Sponsoring the CAC provides a unique opportunity to engage with grassroots Native CDFI leaders, join strategic discussions on financial inclusion, and showcase your leadership and commitment to economic justice. Supporting the Capital Access Convening is one of the most impactful ways to advance Indigenous economic justice.
