First Nations Oweesta Corporation invites you to join us at the 4th Annual Native CDFI Capital Access Convening (#OCAC19), June 25-27, where we will provide practitioner-tailored training on topics focused on building capacity to access capital and networking opportunities. In addition, we will host a Native Awards Celebration Luau and a Bus Tour of the local Native Hawaiian communities! Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, we are able to make registration free. We hope to see you at this national event along with Native CDFIs and Native American Financial Institutions from across the country!
We are excited to be working closely with our partners, the Sovereign Council of Hawaiian Homestead Associations (SCHHA) and the Center for Indian Country Development (CICD) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, allowing us to extend our convening offerings to not only Native CDFIs, but also to all Native American Financial Institutions (NAFIs). The CICD will host a NAFI networking reception in addition to a track of NAFI-related sessions.
Overall, we will be working with Native CDFIs and NAFIs to build organizational capacity to access capital and markets. We plan to hold special, closed door sessions on June 26 for potential funders, investors, and key partners for strategic discussions around targeting capital to Native communities.
If you are a staff member or board member of a Native CDFI or Native American Financial Institution, we welcome you to join us all three days of the conference (June 25-27). And if you are a Board member, you will see recommended sessions highlighted throughout the agenda.
If you are a funder, investor, or key partner interested in working more closely with, funding, or investing in Native communities, we encourage you to join us as well, especially for the closed door funder/investor sessions. There are many opportunities to connect and invest in growing economies in Indian Country. You will also see recommended sessions highlighted throughout the agenda.
