- CURRICULUM #1: Does Your Native Communiy Need a Credit Union?
This introductory course presents the advantages of having a credit union and the challenges of starting one. Once you have taken this introductory curriculum #1 and decide that you are interested in starting a credit union in your tribal community, you can apply to enroll in the full program, Steps to Creating a Native Credit Union. The next session will be offered over Opportunity Finance Network's Virtual Learning Center, using both the interent and phone on February 5-7, 2008 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST each day. - CURRICULUM #2: Organizing a Credit Union: A Building Guide
Provides hands-on training on the start-uo of a credit union. This includes a comprehensive three-day training and individualized technical assistance to support you at every stage of building a credit union. These sessions will be offered March 18-20, 2008 in Portland, Oregon. Only open to those who have already taken Curriculum #1, Does Your Native Community Need a Credit Union?
