Travel Scholarships Available to the 2010 CFED Assets Learning Conference
If your organization offers or plans to conduct Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) outreach and/or offers Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) in Native communities, you are eligible to apply for a travel scholarship to the 2010 CFED Assets Learning Conference, September 22-24, 2010, in Washington DC.
The 2010 CFED Assets Learning Conference will convene over 1,000 leaders from a variety of fields who stand at the cutting edge of innovations in asset building. In addition to an esteemed slate of presenters and speakers, the conference will feature advocacy visits on Capitol Hill, exciting pre-conference sessions designed to engage a colorful range of topics and the first-ever Innovation Marketplace, a virtual and in-person gathering of innovators whose ideas, products and services bring to scale economic opportunity. Oweesta is pleased to partner with the IRS to offer travel scholarships to this premier industry event. In order to apply for a scholarship, please complete the online application by June 15, 2010.
Please Note: There are a limited number of travel scholarships available. Scholarships cover travel, hotel, per diem, and registration fees. Completing an application does not guarantee that you will be selected to receive a travel scholarship. Please DO NOT book your trip or register for the conference until you hear from Oweesta in regards to the selection process. Selected applicants will be notified by June 18, 2010 and given instructions on how to proceed with travel arrangements. Should you pay for any part of the trip prior to being contacted by Oweesta you will be responsible for those charges.
